Going dirt to turf is tough, especially if the first turf race is a Breeders Cup race, but the daughter of Empire Maker is an accomplished 3 year-old on dirt and is making her first start on turf. But the last two winners of the Fillies and Mare Turf were originally dirt runner, dirt runners who also won a race on dirt. So could that be a secret to conquering the turf, running on dirt. There is no doubt that she has the best recent form and is a live longshot at 12-1. Hall of Fame trainer John Velazquez has stated that the timing couldn’t have been better (referring to her win in the Spinster). This horse has great stalking ability and has shown the ability to stay distances, although if the pace is too fast (like in the Alabama) it might be difficult for her to win. However, on turf, In Lingerie looks to be a perfect fit. Coming in 3 for 3 on synthetic, she has had great runs on the turf this past week. She could easily be the longshot of the weekend.
