Santa Anita Opening Day- Malibu Time!

I am super excited about Santa Anita opening day. The return of racing to California after a few week layoff, and what is better then starting it off with a few stakes races. The main race of the day is the Malibu. As many of you may have seen from my post on Horse Racing Nation, I am going with #6, Hoorayforhollywood. This Bob Baffert horse is a fast horse who likes to put on the pressure. In a short race with a highly contested pace, he could sparkle. He rides as a stalker, perfect for the Santa Anita track bias. Now the other horses in the field are lead by favorite, The Factor, on the outside post. The Factor will likely be over bet, probably going out of the money in the end. Another big horse in the field is Associate. He is a horse who likes to be in second, but does not stalk, he presses the pace. However, this has turned to be destructive at a mile, as Associate has fallen off the lead in the end, to lose by a nose. This will be a great race to watch and Past Performances available on the Equibase home page for free. Enjoy the race everyone!
